Holding His Hand on my Way to Completion

Philippians 1:6 ~ being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

I co-lead a junior high girl’s Bible Study with my older sister and one of my best friends. This Sunday, we talked about Philippians 1:1-11, and verse six stuck out to me more than it ever has before.

We all shared when we started our journey to completion. For me it was when I was seven, March 18, 2001. The day I was baptized, I remember it was a sunny spring Sunday-which always makes me happy- and I felt totally free and excited!

There have been SO many steps and SO many people involved in my journey to get me where I am today. Scripture that has captured my heart and drawn it closer to God, my family-immediate and extended-, friends, Bible studies, youth group, God’s creation, music, trips~ especially Ecuador, missionaries and their incredible stories, youth conferences, camps, Sunday school teachers, mi familia (my Ecuadorian family), and God showing me the way as I cling to his hand have all been why I am where I am on my journey to completion.

Today, I am still SO excited and still feel SO free. I am SOO excited to see what God will continue to do on this journey and now with this blog.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face shine upon you and give you His peace. And may you always love Jesus first, above ALL else.  ~Robin Jones Gunn
